Queen Bee

My teacup poodle is definitely the queen bee.
Recently I arrived home after a busy day at work and I let all the dogs out to play and they immediately congregated at the water bowl as usual. While they have water available to them the whole day, they prefer to drink out of the main water bowl in the kitchen when somebody comes home. They unhappily stared at the empty bowl. I filled it and walked away to change clothes.
That’s when the fight erupted. I could hear through the bathroom door the sound of Mayiah (mind you she’s only four pounds) growling and laying into the other three much larger dogs. I heard a yelp from the lab/dalmation mix, Jade.
I flew out of the bathroom wondering what was going on. I discovered that Mayiah had attached herself to Jade’s ear and wouldn’t let go. I unattached her from Jade’s ear and proceeded to change clothes. I laughed all the way back to the bathroom that a four pound poodle can bring a 50 pound dog to the floor.
But the story doesn’t stop there. I heard another scuffle followed by silence. I went back out to the kitchen to see all three dogs surrounding Mayiah while she slowly drank water, growling at each of them after each lap. They all just sat there, one of the shih tzus was whining, but kept his distance.
Yep, Mayiah is the queen bee all right — all four pounds of her.
