Aside from a few passing cirrus clouds and breezy conditions at times, it has been a pleasant end to the work week as temperatures continued to soar into the 70s. Keep in mind that our normal high and low temperatures are 55° and 34° respectively. Afternoon temperatures are running between 15° and 20° above normal. The mild temperatures and sunshine will continue heading into your weekend. Winds will die down a bit, but will continue to blow from a southerly direction tonight. This will keep overnight lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Skies should remain mostly clear. Heading into Saturday, the overall weather pattern will remain stable as high pressure holds strong over the central plains and Midwest. Winds will be out of the south; however, they are not expected to be as strong as the last couple of days. Temperatures are expected to remain mild with highs climbing into the lower 70s. Find time to get outdoors and take advantage of the sunshine.
We will note increasing cloud cover by Monday as a disturbance rolls into the region. It will enhance our rain chances on Monday and usher in cooler temperatures next week, thereby ending our streak of above normal temperatures.
