Now when I go out to Despos I can stay longer. I like to go for a steak and drinks but always have to leave early due to the smoke. I will stay longer and make more purchases.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the law enforcement people. These criminals need to be put behind bars because their crimes are escalating into more serious offenses. I totally agree with USNretired.

I agree with the above comments, a good 8-10 hour day working in the 100 degree weather shoveling poop, pulling weeds, sweeping, painting, digging holes for plants, cleaning up the roads, etc, at the zoo and parks would be great punishment for these boys whom have too much unsupervised time on theirs hands.
These are very serious crimes and for a youngster these kinds of hard labor jobs for the next couple of years might do them some good. I hope the courts give them lots to do instead of sitting in juvenile hall learning more bad behavior from the other criminals.
Also, definitely make their parents pay for their upkeep and NOT US tax payers.

How exciting to have a women's fitness area. I am a little bit embarrassed to workout in front of the guys. This gives gals like me more options to improve our health.

I live in the country, three of my four pets are strays that I have acquired and love them to death. There is a limit as to what each person can afford to do.
In Emporia, my mother was chased into her house by a large pit bull. She called the police to have the animal control come get the dog and was told they were not on duty. The dispatcher told her to knock on the dog owner's door and tell them to get their dog. How stupid is that when the dog chased her into her own home!!
My suggestion would be to eliminate resurfacing 6th avenue and pay animal control to work more hours or hire more staff to cover.

I love watching the helicopter fly in and out! How lucky we are!

I am all for keeping the memorial in tip top shape but hesitate on transporting the helicopter off site to get it cleaned and painted. It was a massive amount of work to transport it to Emporia and then the set up. I would rather see that amount of money used for other projects at the memorial.
