Honoring dispatchers
Maybe the Lyon County dispatchers didn't get the credit they deserve the way Chief Smith did for his dispatchers for other reasons. Maybe the Undersheriff had other important things to do such as implement proactive law enforcement tactics with his investigations dept. lol. Maybe he was worried the number of tickets written to Lyon Co. residents was down and needed to go up. Maybe he was to busy trying to create a diverse work environment at the Sheriff's Dept. lol. Or maybe he was just wondering what was for lunch!

Why is it that the Emporia Police Dept do drive Chevy Impalas? There are not to many agenices around that do just due to their durability. Does the commissioner that facts is talking about own the Chevy dealership? If so then I would agree that something stinks.

No parade; service moved
What's wrong with the cheap seats? That's where some of the hardest working Americans in this great country always sit. Now I'm sure you and Judge Grumpy would have had a nice view from the ivory tower but as far as the supporters of the parade we would have sat through worse weather. Ask any vet old or young if 45 degrees would have bothered them, PLEASE!!!!! Once again Notthefacts strikes again.

County discusses Rail-crossing safety
Actually Mr. second hand smoke advocate (Josie), the SUV you are talking about is driven by the Sheriff himself and the SUV I am talking about is a new one purchased by the taxpayers for a detective.
Additionally the CSI funmobile was not entirely purchased from drug funds but thanks for your attempted input. But speaking of the drug funds that were used to buy the dust collecting CSI van maybe the money could have been used for patrol SUVs'.
