I agree with Littlefifth, why will the boys clothes only go up to 4? It is so hard to find cute clothes for boys in this town already. Would be nice if they had clothing for the older boys as well as the girls. Anxious to see what they carry. Will be a nice addition to Emporia.

We also ate at Bruff's on Saturday night and noticed a HUGE difference in the environment there. It was much more enjoyable to dine there and not smell like smoke when we left. I didn't care one way or the other about the smoking ban in bars, but where food is being served, that was a different opinion.

Well, Justaflush, since you chose to pick me out off all the comments. I will just name Bruff's and Centinela, just to name a couple. Love Bruff's for their steak, hate the smoke. I do understand that it is a BAR, but it is also a GRILL, so would like to enjoy the Grill part without the smokey environment of the Bar. But I really don't care to argue this point specifically with you, as I know it is impossible to argue with a STOP sign.

Yeah Emporia!!!! Way to catch up to the times! I will be so glad when all the restaurants in town are smoke-free, so I will not have to worry about exposing my children to smoke during our meals. That has kept us from going to a few places in town that we truly enjoy eating at, but won't take the kids to because of the smoke.

I really think Dr. Barnett has become completely detached from Emporia's health care needs, and should either decide to be a Doctor or a Senator, because it is obvious he can't do both well. He is one of the biggest reasons that the hospital has gotten a bad wrap in the community, and that is really unfortunate. It is too bad that his patients can't see what he is really like and how demanding one Doctor can be on so many people in one organization. I hope many of the Emporians can see past Dr. Barnett's smokescreens and realize that we are fortunate to have such a good hospital with caring staff.

This is such a sad state of affairs at the hospital, as many of these nurses have been practicing for 20+ years and are more experienced and qualified than some of the RNs that pass through the hospital. They will be a much missed asset our hospital and medical community.
