The hospital DID NOT push out the Surgical Hospital. Do your research, the surgical hospital was started by money hungry surgeons trying to make a buck and it backfired. Yay! After working at Newman's and now working in a very large, metropolitan hospital, I can attest to the quality of care at Newman Regional Health. The residents of Lyon County are very lucky to have such a great hospital, full of great doctors and highly competent, skilled nurses. Count your blessings....

Food, gas, living in general is more expensive because the worth of the dollar is down. Why doesn't someone mention the fact that we are in a recession? Our country is in trouble, very big trouble....vote Ron Paul.

We just moved back here from OKC. In Oklahoma, there is no smoking in restaurants or bar/grills....anywhere children could go to eat. If the business wants to allow smoking, they must provide an area that is COMPLETELY blocked off and must have it's own ventilation system.
Also, when I was at KSU, one of the bars banned smoking and it became the busiest bar in Aggieville. I think that banning smoking completely is extreme, just keep it out of restaurants and away from children.
