Infinicat…………….no offense but you obviously are a “sappy simpleton” (your words …not mine) when you said that hiring Ms. Ali for the amount of $25,000.
“whatever she has to say cannot possible be more important that our poorest children’s well being” I would gladly pay whatever to hear what she has to say. $1.00 X 25,000 Emporians = $25,000. $1.00 each! That pack of gum you may have purchased last week most likely cost that amount. This is a woman that is extremely fortunate to be alive right now and may not be a year from now. She is laying her life down to try to wake up America.
Thank you “open_eyes for seeing my little blip about watching the Glenn Beck’s show tonight and responding to it. Some will say this has nothing to do with Emporia's problem. I beg to differ. Certain members of our government , from the highest to the lowest (both republicans and democrats) and greedy run amok corporations are thrilled to no end that you focus only on one little area because then your eyes are off the big picture They know that you can’t do a darn thing about it………….now. They know that most Americans "plan" to get around to "checking and finding out" on what's really going on down on our border, what is really going on with our government ....................after the ballgames are over.........after "Dancing with the Stars" is over.......after they finish their third beer,..after.........after........after. That has been the American way for so many decades it is pathetic. The American people in our bordering states have serious issues that our government is totally ignoring for reasons beyond my imagination and sadly we as Americans are failing them to by not making our voices heard. We have created this country (such as it is now) and we have to be the ones to see that is corrected by not starting at bottom and working up but by starting at the top and working down. Keep one eye on the local problem but keep one eye on the big picture.

Before I retire I am going to make one last comment which all day I have said to myself...."don't go there".. but I am. I almost left the meeting at the very beginning when the facilitator began with his remark about his (to put it "nicely") intestinal problems and the 5-10 minute break that he may need. Only those who were there will understand what I am talking about. I thought for a minute that I had maybe walked into a "stag" supper instead of a public meeting. I think a little more respect can be given when ladies are present in a room or on a forum (some of you may think you are just writing to guys here) No comments needed, just think about it please.

I decided it was time for me to leave about 10:45 as I had a longer driving home than most. I must have missed in the beginning that Senator Barnett and Peggy Mast were going to say something to the crowd at the end of the meeting. I would have stayed if I had heard that. They are the ones that should carry the message and turn in a complaint on the way the city of Emporia (and the other states) have been treated with such disrespect with no notification to prepare. I hope people are beginning to realize the importance of getting involved in the election process. To me this upcoming election will make or break this country. We need fresh clean blood in Washington (yes...I still believe there are some that haven't been corrupted yet) I happened to turn to C-Span a couple days ago just when a state representative (not Kansas) was telling the American people that we needed to get involved soon as things were really out of control. I just wonder if it isn't past time for all the state senators and representatives to join together and start making some real noise. I believe the American people are truly realizing that it is going to take we the people to put on some extreme pressure. I hope it is soon.
I not asking for any comments back ..just stating my opinion because like others on this forum..........I care.

Regarding tomorrow night’s meeting. One thing good about writing your questions down and having your list with you is most likely your question(s) may have already been asked by someone ahead of you. Write down who on the panel answers their/your question and if you are not satisfied with that person's answer make sure you (or request the facilitator) direct it to another member of the panel. However we don’t want to keep dwelling on the same question and getting the same answer. There are too many questions to be asked and too little time to keep beating a subject to death.
The majority of Americans feel our country is in immediate jeopardy if not peril and rightfully so. How many of the majority are diverted to the multiple other major problems we have going on in this country and are unaware of the “big picture” of the refugee resettlements? There are many concerned and decent state representatives (and higher levels) all over our country that are trying to get answers from the top with no success either so keep that in mind At least our top line government isn’t favoring one of us over the other. We are all being put on the meat block (no pun intended). Along with maybe finding out our upcoming costs involved we can find out what our actual worth is or was to our top line leaders (lol? - Not )

The entire hour of the Glenn Beck/Anderson Cooper interview is very good. Watch it tonight. It is has run for two nights and is on tonight at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. At the end of it Glenn basically states that his concern for our country and the downward spiral it is heading was becoming overwhelming to him and there just didn't seem to be an answer for handling it. One day while walking down a street in one of our largest cities it hit him so hard and he realized that our ingenious founding fathers had already given us the answer.....not in small print, but large capital letters "WE THE PEOPLE"
That is what this forum is all about. We don't have the answers yet but as one united body of Americans "WE THE PEOPLE will stand strong together and we will take back our country. We have the obligation to do this for the greatest gifts that God has given us which is our children & grandchildren and beyond.

Quite some time ago a very wise person told me that "it always good to visit and not ever forget the past but don't stay for any length of time too long or it will eat your future away” How wise this person was………I lost 20 years before I took the advice. This person had lost 40 years. What I could have accomplished for the positive in those 20 years I will never know…I wish I had listened back then.
Remember it, if you need to… but let’s move on together and work toward positive changes.
