Seriously people we have to have a routine drug check in our middle school, and your more worried about if middle school students should have a cell phone or not?
My daughter has a cell phone, and I agree with FarmRaised, you can keep a close tab and has GPS.
Maybe if all parents kept better tabs on their kids we wouldnt need routine drug checks in middle schools.

ilovechocolate- ok that is great if that was done for him to go to camp. But, if you were one of the people who donated to that and then read the article how do you think they feel? hmmm. I am glad she was called out on this. She deserves to be...think about all the other kids and parents that worked hard and she took their money.

Having read this, I remember hearing something from my child while they were out playing ball with others, That this family was having a fund raiser for the EHS wrestling team or her child not sure how it was addressed, back in their hometown. (where they lived before moving to Emporia) I wonder if that money was used to pay part of this back...Maybe that is something the gazette should dig into a little more, did she steal from others by lying to pay this debt back?
