Do you think it was a good move by K-State to bring Bill Snyder back as its football coach?

I don't know if this is good or bad, but I believe the next coach will be former Brave (and Royal for a year) Terry Pendleton. Dayton Moore has shown during his time as GM for the Royals that he won't hesitate to try to copy off the Braves to bring K.C. success. He has taken Atlanta staff members and scouts and has also made deals (including the Dotel-Davies trade last week) for Atlanta players.

Pendleton seems to be one of the biggest managerial names on the market, and I would be pretty surprised if Dayton didn't go with him, especially because he knows him personally.

It's also interesting that Dayton didn't go after an outfielder in his trade of Dotel. Does this mean there's a possibility the Royals could open their wallets and sign Atlanta free agent Andruw Jones??

It would seem to make sense given Dayton's Atlanta tendencies in his first year with the Royals.

On Royals New Coach?

From what I've heard and seen, I think Coach Higgins should be competitive right away with his group. My guess is they'll be 6-5 this year, taking 3-4 wins in the MIAA. What does everyone else think?

Pretty obvious to me it was MATT COURSEN. I don't want to hear people say "but he didn't go to Emporia High." SO WHAT. He would have ran for a jillion yards there too.

I don't think you can even make an argument for anyone else.
