well tryingtomakeadifference aren't we just the bleeding heart. I suggest you read up or shut up in reference to the stats for Empora crime wise. Almost all of our daily report is filled with hispanics and somali names. If you are a home owner and tax payer in Lyon County I suggest you do your homework and read up, I am not saying that there are no "anglo" offenders (you could of just said white people, but I understand you're trying to "sound" intelligent or educated) but really all you sound is IGNORANT. I pay taxes and my children go to Lyon Co schools and it's not getting any better. How can the school tell my daughter she can't wear a shirt that said "jesus is my homeboy" but every hispanic in the school can have pictures of Saint's and it all be in Spanish and that's ok??? I am tired of being forced to conform to other cultures, if I wanted to do that, I would move to Mexico or Somalia don't you agree? Our crime rate has gone thru the roof since the influx of Hispanics and Somalians and if you don't agree maybe you should read our daily report again!!! You let me know when the next "anglo" is pulled over on I 35 with enough cocaine to feed an entire metropolitan area let alone Emporia!!! You just let me know when that happens, will you??? I personally am ready to move out of Emporia because it's just not safe anymore and someone maybe needs to start some vigilante sh**... I live within close proximity to an elementary school, after seeing some hispanic males at this school during the summer, same time having some other hispanic kids meet him and exchanging packages I called the police. About 30 min later they showed up, and guess what the individuals were gone by then (big surprpise) and I was told next time I saw them to call officer Dragonas as he is in the right department for this kind of issue. I just pray no one goes to shooting up my house cuz if I ever have a burgler, drive by, attempted rape , I think you get my picture. It will be like a michael douglas film "boy did you pick the wrong damn house". someone is leaving in a body bag and I can center mass guaranteed it isn't going to be me!!! I am not racist by any means but I do think there is a problem with the huge influx of immigrants in such a small area and something needs to be done!!!

I am seriously sick to death of hearing all your bleeding hearts , equality bullsh**, the only thing that pisses me off about this article and the incident is this....that this kid got caught, if his 2 buddies had any balls to them, they would have stayed and whooped ass!!!! I'm just sorry Peck got caught, if these damn somali's weren't here in the first damn place these kids wouldn't have attempted such a rookie attempt, intel should have been done and well planned out before implementation......Maybe next time the Somali's won't be so damn lucky and someone will give them a piece of their own medicine and they'll get a good ol' fashioned kansas whoop ass!!!! And for all you poor bleeding hearts, save your damn breath and be glad that I have a family and a job where if I was too ,,let's say implement my own plan, I would be without a job and my family would definately suffer, so be very very damn glad that I don't know you either!!! why don't you open your pockets and home to these "refugees" or illegals that'll definately get you a spot on the highway to heaven!!!! Wow, I do believe this is the longest blog I've seen yet in the Gazette and well deserved....I agree with the meeting, if we all just sit back and complain we are doing absolutely nothing for OUR community...Please enlighten me with more ideas on how we can get the illegals and refugees the hell out of our town, I don't say Tyson because I do know there are locals that have worked there for years and are probably counting on that retirement (if it ever comes) but let's get Tyson to help the local community not every damn illegal that will work for less and Tyson will hire them, always trying to make that almighty dollar stretch. I personally am sick to death of seeing these refugees or listening to languages not my own. I don't care what the hell you do in your own house (as long as I am not paying for that too) but when you are out in public remember you ARE in AMERICA not mexico, not somalia but EMPORIA FRICKEN KANSAS and I will spend my last breath reminding your ass of that too!!!! I don't want people to turn renegade but damnit what the hell are WE going to do to get our damn city back? And if you are one of those bleeding hearts that give your heartfelt opinion on how we should all be treated equal, remember who gave you the right to speak your ignorant ass mind!!!!!

I agree that if you don't live here you need to shut the hell up and if you are so concerned with the somali welfare then maybe you should contribute to their well being instead of my taxes going up again, Lyon Co already has a high enough tax rate and for you to be so smug and sit their and say that because we don't agree with what Tyson is doing and for us to not welcome these refugees with open arms shows by itself your ignorance so please open your pockets to them (somali's) your bleeding heart amuses me...maybe you are one of the ignorant people who choose to marry one and make them a US citizen or maybe you are just ignorant period.....I have and will continue to ban Tyson products and agree with the previous postings that if I wanted to live in complete harmony with TB, HIV and rudeness as a second nature I would gladly move to Africa don't you think....Everytime I turn arond there one is being completely rude (if i had another option to do my shopping I would completely avoid Walmart as well) and don't get me started on their driving skills, even defensive driving courses couldn't even begin to help these people....I will once again go back to this.......If by chance these individuals would have some respect for us and our country and try to live and abide by OUR culture and practices then maybe, JUST MAYBE I would have a little compassion for these individuals, but as it stands right now I don't appreciate the COMPLETE disrespect they have shown and I as a US citizen should not have to adapt to them and their practices!!! PERIOD Like I said before , our ancestors built this country for GOD sake, we can't have prayer in school no pledge of allegiance and no Christmas program, but by all means let's give the damn Somali's a fricken prayer room for wherever they go, it's completely ridiculous and I think it's time WE as Americans take a stand and get back our AMERICAN PRIDE!!!!

Now it's just getting absolutely ridiculous for my (ours) tax dollars spent on improving the welfare of immigrants when they obviously do not care to conform to our policies and our culture as American citiziens. I know everyone argues about how this country was built on immigrants and that being true but those "immigrants" worked their asses off and learned ENGLISH and adapted to OUR country. All I see us doing within the last few years is having to conform to not only one but two different cultures and neither being ENGLISH or AMERICAN...My ancestors came from Europe and they worked THEIR asses off and learned ENGLISH and American cultures not vice versa.....If you have not had the pleasure of running into a Somalian then you really should do so, just for the practice because I see Emporia becoming a haven for them and it saddens and disgusts me beyond repair. These immigrants or refugees, what exactly do we call them?? Anywho, they refuse to adapt to our culture and practices and they damn sure aren't learning English and are RUDE as I have never seen rude before. I have no desire to co-habitate with these people and certainly have no desire to pay for their welfare when there are plenty of Emporians who need our tax dollars not a bunch of ignorant, rude, dirty, TB and HIV or perhaps maybe even AIDS stricken individuals who cannot drive to save their ASSES and when do we stop paying for everyone else and start helping OUR OWN!!!! I am completely fed up and although Tyson foods may be abundant at your local grocery store I am gladly purchasing any product that is NOT Tyson....

Take the blinders off honey unless you live in Thorndale you are seriously confused. And SlipandSlide, how is it that you know Dr. Wright is a bad doctor. I work with him on a daily basis and I believe he is a very good Dr.!! WTH
