Vote for Fowler
If you're really interested in kids and education, the KNEA and KASB is about the last two organizations you should be listening to.

Vote for Huelskamp
I think Jilka's commercial is extreme. (That's a little joke.)

Vote for Huelskamp
Anybody who actually believes Huelskamp will take away farm subsidies is crazy. I wasn't going to vote for Jilka but at least I thought he had some dignity, until I just saw his TV commercial. Not even one word about what he stands for or wants to do, just attack, attack, attack. Too bad.

Vote for Huelskamp
With the farm bill coming up, we can't afford to have Alan Jilka in Congress, we need an actual farmer who knows what it's like for the rest of us. If Jilka really believes in all things Republican, then he should just run as a Republican, or at least an Independent. Even then I couldn't bring myself to vote for him against someone like Huelskamp. We need that experience when the farm bill comes up.

Moderates have better chances
Jilka supports Obamacare and opposes the Holcomb power plant. What's moderate about that? This word moderate is interesting. In any other state it would mean the middle, but in Kansas it's used to describe anyone who isn't conservative, no matter how liberal they may be. Buzz words like"moderate" are worthless. Look at the positions and make a decision from there.

I wonder how many of those questions were, "Do you support more $$ for education? How much?"

Strickland is wrong
Um, not to mention that you're talking about U.S. Reps and Senators voting for war funding and Mast is a STATE Rep. So, glad I could clear that up for you.

Explanation of vote
Amazing. "Education is the only one that counts." Try again.
Anyone that think law enforcement and the National Guard is 'wasteful spending' is not reasonable. Perhaps next time you're in need to some help, like an ambulance or if you're assaulted, you'll think twice about funding those that protect and help us.
esustudent indeed. Our future is very scary.

Education group grades legislators
"The issues considered include deferred maintenance, annual budgets, grant funding, scholarships, faculty salaries and other items."
Let's see, how many times can we say give us more money or we'll flunk you?

Carol Strickland files to run for Kansas House
While seniority is important, I would have to say that it wouldn't get my vote. However, I'll still vote for Peggy because she helped me a couple of years back when I was having problems with a state agency. Come to find out at the time, I didn't even live in her district. I asked her if she knew that and she said yea, I knew that...and she still went out of her way to help me. She could have very easily passed me off to Don Hill or someone else, but she didn't. People like that are very few and far between now-a-days.
I'm glad our move to another part of town put us in her district. It'll be my privilege to vote for her.
