netloafer: You made the comment that an officer put a dog back in the yard that it came from. I have a dog that got loose at the start of spring and when someone called animal control they took my dog to inpound and I had to pay to get him out. That is bull and I would like to know why? If the person that turned my dog in knew where I lived and I know that they do why was my dog not returned to our yard? We had to go to court and pay out the ying yang and my dog is a very nice dog and would not hurt no one including the person the turned him in. I find that I was miss treated and if you are going to take one dog then you need to take them all.

crackinsack : Ok who is to say this was a kids doing? Do you know something that you are not telling? Come on any adult with a twisted head is capable of doing this too. Don't point your finger at a child unless you have proof. That would be like someone coming up to you and saying your kids did something wrong, they have no proof but they know that they did. Stop pointing fingers just remember that when you do 4 more are pointing at you.
I hope they get the person or persons that did this. The zoo is free and those animals are there for the town not for beating.
And also Mickey 66839 this is not only a zoo its a refuge for sick and hurt animals. Its not here for the fact of having the all the animals in the world here. Its to help animals. You don't have to drive around it you can get your lazy butt out and walk to ya know.

I agree with RD, at 4 in the morning and saying that he was an employee with SRS it sounds like someone was trying to hit him. And to me it also sounds like there is more to whats going on then what the EPD is letting on. I think that they are thinking the same thing too.
I hope the man gets better and I hope the driver is caught, but I don't think they will be due to it's been 4 days and they are now asking for help. Where was this Monday after noon when that paper went out?

I disagree too. I work at Walmart and yes I make more then minimun wage, but still when I have to drive 12 miles a day round trip just so I can work (and I live in town) and I have other earns that I have to get done, paying almost 4$ a gallon in gas is killing my family. We have gottn to the point now that we have one day out of the week that we do our running in and the only other time we use the car is for me to work other wise we walk. I work 5 days a week just to get a check that goes right back into my gas tank. Whats the point? The price needs to go down or I will not be able to afford to go to work anymore.
I have 4 kids to feed and I don't see the government handing out anything that will help that, other then the little bit that srs feels is enough to live off of and heaven for bid they give you a bit more due to gas prices going up and FOOD prices for that matter because the GAS prices are going up. It's getting to the point now that I don't know weather to pay mt rent, pay my bills, feed my kids. or drive to work. This is STUPID and something needs to be done.
I have to now take money out of my food money to pay more in gas, I need the food money to feed my family. How do you tell a kids that they can no longer eat this one food because the oil company's think its funny to watch us starve. And that no I can't take you to the park, swimming, or to the movies because we need that money for gas so I can go to work?
This is a VERY SORE subject with me. There might be some people out there who can afford to pay what we are in gas (like Jay Leno who wrote a very nasty letter about people who complain about gas prices), you know what I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE.
It's time for something to change or there are going to be a lot of people walking or starving and I will tell you what if that happens just wait and see the tax's are going to be like.

I have only lived here for 2 years and I have not seen the display that you guys have had here (last year I had to work).
DHCC66: You say something about everyone forgetting what the 4th of July stands for... Well here it is... OUR FREEDOM... And guess what, I didn't see any on the 4th. Setting up all these fire work stands and then saying "Nope not this year." My family and I had to drive to Reading just to shoot off the $70 some dollars that we had in in fire works.
I will not take the 4th of July away from my kids or out of my life because some stupid Town says they can't afford it. If they could not afford it they why ban it so the ppl who can or want to spend a few dollars for their family can enjoy it. Its just another way for stupid ppl to control everyone else. Well guess what I am not giving in to it and nor will my family. The 4th of July is about FREEDOM and we should still have the FREEDOM to light off fire works.
