Shop Emporia First
I have been surprised at how many local business owners that understand the importance of shopping local have these out of state roofing company signs in their yard. These signs are like scarlet letters! They really need to think twice.

Shop Emporia First
K.B. Do you prefer people use a local real estate agent or one from out of state when buying house in Emporia?

School board accepts bid on Lowther buildings
I don't think the community members were asking the board to keep the buildings nor was the community resistent to selling them. I think the group they just wanted some time to see if entities in the community could be partnered up to buy the facilities.

School board accepts bid on Lowther buildings
Can anyone explain what the rush was to give the buildings away? I wonder what Grant was thinking? I thought he was sensible. I guess not.

School board accepts bid on Lowther buildings
What a slap in the face of the community. Couldn't wait two weeks to hold a community meeting to see if local organizations could benefit.
What was the rush to give the buildings away.
Brent Windsor, Mike Crouch, Grant Riles and Angie Schreiber need to be booted from the school board .

Welcome to the Flint Hills Shopper
Why always complain about the printing. The shopper was never ever printed in town. They always outsourced their printing. I commend the Gazette for printing in house for as long as they could.

Living locally
Marko let me clarify if you don't live here. The Gazette nor the employees are not paid with tax payer dollars. So it doesn't matter where their employees live or where they print. The article was talking about employees who get paid with tax payer dollars.

Friendly Competition
This can't be a good career move for Peter C Peterson. Didn't anyone tell him to not pick a fight with a newspaper and radio station? Didn't he know now that when anyone Googles CGI that the Gazette story will come up and probably rank at the top. Good job Peter Peterson I bet your bosses will love that.

Friendly Competition
Shame on CGI for bullying the small mom and pop businesses that faithful serve our community. Why not just stay in New York and mind your own business.

Parents tune in
Oh4thluvof
This is the funniest blog comment ever....
"Parents, wake up and smell the scholarships and resume's burning."
I agree.
Shouldn't you kids be studying for tests instead of blogging on the Gazette website?
