Clemons boys buried Monday
This is very sad to hear about this family. I remember little Amir when he was a young one. My family used to babysit for him when he lived here in town. I will always have that one memory of him running around the Peter Pan Park looking for those Easter Eggs! I pray that they find the person or persons responsible for this crime. And that they pay for their crime.

The Daily Report
I would like to comment on the injury accident at 4th Avenue and Exchange Street on Saturday night. There is numerous ways this accident could of been prevented. For starters, where do parents get off by letting middle school aged children go to a party that has no adult supervision? Another one why would you be racing down the street trying to act "cool"? Why were you driving when by law you know you are not supposed to be because of your NIGHT BLINDNESS? I am glad that none of those children were harmed more than what they were. You still have to live with this on your consicious for the rest of your life. Not only did you put your own child in danger but you did others as well. Nobody should ever ride with you again in a vehicle.

Family attends hearing in murder case

Emporia soldier killed in Iraq
You are always hearing about soldiers dieing in the war. I don't think it hits home until it is one of our hometown soldiers that we hear about. My heart and praryers go out to Mr. and Mrs. Lane. Just remember your son died a hero.

Jury: Magallanez guilty
I am glad that this guy is getting what he deserves. Maybe when he is in there his new "buddy" will show him exactly what it is like. Just one word of advice to you Mr. Magallanez - "Don't Drop The Soap!" I think our children will be a little safer now with one pedahile off of the streets. Now lets start going after all the rest of them as well. So we can be a safe community again.

Rape reported in Emporia
What is Emporia becoming? When I first moved here it was a safe place. Now it is no longer that way. I think our law enforcement needs to step up and derve and protect us more than what they are doing now.
