Maybe a big recall will happen and shut them down. I liked the comment from the tyson rep. He said he didn't know what happened in the restrooms. No wonder why we're all worried about the foodchain contamination.

Weitkamp claimed he never said there would be a refugee settlement center here.I think the gazette owes everybody an apology for letting the pot simmer for soooo long while still stirring it tonite with a story about the place in Maryland. Give it up Gazette.....no name on the article either.

wtrdog, sorry you feel streetscape was a complete hoax. you must of enjoyed those funky street lights that looked liked chinaman hats. downtown is alot prettier now with the warmer glow of the old style lights & brickwork. the closing of businesses downtown has to do with many factors, not just the remodeling of the street sidewalks, etc. the downtown of any city is considered the true heart of a community, not the developements on the outskirts. now back to the problem at hand, I feel many of our city officals aren't speaking out against this for fear of appearing racist. maybe backlash from tyson? Our little town, the good years appear to be behind us now. I'm sorry Emporia......

Can't a new way of disposing drugs other than flushing them be used? I know when a family member died at my home and hospice was on duty, that's the first thing that was required. I realize the MSNBC article was more about the residual drugs from our bodies, but actual drugs being flushed seems like an obvious thing that can be prevented.
