The store priced the normal working people away from it. When the Bells had it, at least a working person could afford to buy items in there. Sorry Mr Haw I cannot feel sorry for you & all it means is just another empty store front with a loss of a few tax dollars the county cannot spend on their remodeling of the court house--no great loss

Good thing the Emporia P D has good people to start the rescue procedures on their own. By the time the F D gets there & establishes their incident command, who is going to be what & other policys established for that incident, quite bit of time has normally passed. Thanks for being there P D, your appreciated

it is so very true that Emporia P D does not work well or at all with other agencies in or out of Lyon County. Just ask any of us that work with other depts & have the displeasure of trying to work hand in hand with Emporia for various cases or calls. Maybe the new chief should try to ease tensions with other agencies. If he is true to his words about scheduling with the dog, that is a good start. Chief just think of the information that your agency is missing becasue of it's better then God attitude towards other Depts.--In & out of the county. Good Luck
