Bjnemp I wish they had pictures of the people next to their names when they post. That way I could know if you look as stupid as you sound. In almost every article I read on here you always have something negative and idiotic to say about everything.You sure must have alot of degrees because you seem to think you are an expert in everything you talk about. You have way too much time on your hands maybe you should be a volunteer animal control officer in your spare time, then you could help take care of the problem instead of complain about everything under the sun.

Yeah my car got broken into several years ago and it was terrible. I sure wish that it was alright to shoot someone who was breaking into your car, because I wish I would have been able to do that when mine got broken into. Once the news got out about people getting shot trying to steal others things I bet there would be alot less burglers running around town. I think I despise thiefs so much, sneeking around in the darkness stealing others hard earned money. I hope they end up in prison someday and get something of their's "stolen" there, If you know what I mean!!! LOL

If I were Mr. Kent I would deffinatly appeal the ruling, maybe he can take it to a real court and get a new trial. Doesn't seem like there is any hard evidance at all. No balistics match on the bullet, only eye witness reports of the color of the truck, no tag number, only that she saw a SN on the tag. Seems like they are only using the eye witness reports which are very thin if you ask me. Hopefully the prosecution got it right and they have the right guy. But our justice system is not so great, I think you should have 100% hard evidance so you can say you know for sure that he did it like a witness actually seeing him shooting the gun, or a match from the bullet to his gun, then I would feel secure in finding him guilty. And if not then you have to assume that he didn't do it.

There are alot of people who don't teach their kids how to respect animals, I always see kids poking sticks through a fence at dogs and laughing and teasing them. Barking at them to make the dog bark back. If I were a dog I would want to bite them also guess it isn't the parents fault they must just have been bred with bad traits and temperments, guess we should ban the kids who show aggressive behavior also. Only the kids who are good and do exactly what they are told to do all the time will be allowed to live in this city. Oh wait that is wrong because we are civilized and are only allowed to kill animals that we don't like. We didn't create this Earth we are just guests here and no one should have the right to say what animals should stay and what ones should be killed that is not our place to do, I believe that is another persons job, after all humans are animals also just because we can use tools build city's, and machines we think that we are better than every other animal but that is incorrect all of gods creatures deserve the right to live here. The human race are all like Nazi's we take all of the animals habitats away and they all die because they have no place to live and we cut down all their trees and they have no homes to go to but that is ok to most because we are the Mighty Humans and who cares about the other animals we share this planet with as long as we are alright. It will start with the Pit Bulls, then Dobermans, Rotts, German Shepards. Then what Mastiffs, boxers, blood hounds, great danes. Pretty soon when all of you are done all that will be left are dogs under 10 lbs. because when you pick on them and they get angry all you have to do is kick them off your leg and you will be fine. Because if the Pitt Bulls get banned the media will have to focus there poor reporting to some other breed of dogs so they can fire up the lench mob to ban them also. But I am sure you will make up some kind of excuse to get rid of those dogs also because you are scared of anything that may have a chance of staning up and defending it's self. I look forward to seeing you staning on the street corner with your torch and pitch fork to go on a Pit Bull hunt. :)

I agree with you madpoet it is a thankful thing that pit bulls don't have any bad genetic traits or temperments!!! I do believe that the breed you are thinking of was way back in the day and they quit breeding it and it no longer exists. They already took care of the problem a long time ago. The pit bulls of today are bred to be sweet loving companions, just alot of people who don't know anything about dogs believe that today's pitt bulls are the same but they are nothing like the fighting dogs that you are refering to so you don't have to worry yourself about it anymore. All the genetic trait stuff is all just urban legends and everyone who hears it believes that it is true then they tell someone esle and so on and so on. I believe it is called the snowball effect, it just starts out from one uneducated person and before you know thousands of other people believe the same thing. If you are not a pitt bull owner you really don't have a clue. I don't talk bad about things that I haven't owned before, why? Because I don't know crap about if it is good or not so I just keep my mouth shut like alot of these people on here refuse to do. That one guy in the other article "I got my revolver" what an idiot, is he sure he should own a gun all they were made to do was kill people!!! LOL This town has so many idiots in it they should change the name from Emporia to Smallmindedville, lets just make everything that each person doesn't like illegal.

I don't own any assult rifles or a big honkin truck LOL that is hilarious. The only reason you see so many stories on Pit Bulls attacking is to fuel the mob of ignorant people. If they wrote a story on a Lab attacking someone no one would read it, because all people want to read about is the "Killer Pit Bulls" so those are the only dogs that get in the news. I am sure there are plenty of other instances where other breeds of dogs attack but you don't know about them because no one is instereted in believing that their beloved "family dog" can also be a killer. I can see where medium/large dogs can be a danger to children but for a grown adult come on they weigh about 50-80 lbs on average, most adults weigh a good deal more than that. If one attacks you just fight back I mean come on it doesn't even have hands, it can't kick or punch you. All you have to defend against is an attack from one place a mouth if you were fighting a human you would have to watch for 4 weapons. One on one you should have no problem stopping a medium sized dog from attacking you. And yes a Pit Bull is a medium sized dog a large dog is a Mastiff or Great Dane at least that is how I see it. My friend had a Doberman trying to attack him once, when it came at him he just punched it in the face then put it in a head lock until it quit wanting to fight, he left without a scratch on him, so I know it can be done. Pit Bulls are great dogs all of the people who hate them are just brainwashed fools who watch too much news, they only write what they want you to hear. But I don't really care if you call me a assult rifle big honkin' truck guy, even though there is nothing wrong with owning those items. I still have my family loving Pit Bull, and I guess if they ban Pit Bulls I will just have to move out of this little metropolis.

The Pit Bull ban is a buch of junk. I have a Pit Bull and it is not to compensate for lack of testosterone. At first I didn't want one because I was really narrow minded about them like some of the people posting on here. I was worried that they were crazy killers. But my girlfriend had owned them before and brought home a puppy one day. Since then I would have to say that she is the best dog I have ever owned. The sweetest most gentle animal I have had, she lays with our baby Kittens and takes care of them like they were her own. The only thing she might do is lick you to death. Heck if we spoke dog we would probably find out that those little worthless dogs are probably talking smack to the bigger dogs because they think they are really tough. If you enlarged a Chihuahua to the size of a Pit Bull it would be killing everything that it saw. I think that in order to have an opinion on the breed you should have to own one. If they ban Pit Bull's they should ban those little annoying dogs also, I think they violate the noise ordinance because they never shut up. If any of you want to get rid of you small dogs I have a large Boa Constrictor that is really hungry so just let me know and I can take care of them for you. What is wrong is all of the retarded ghetto people who can't get a real job so they start fighting a Pit Bull to make some money so they can buy their crack rocks, and guns to rob people with. It is not the dog's fault that there are so many moron's in the world. If you were going to get a review on a corvette would you want to talk to someone who has actually driven one before, or you listen to the opinion of some idiot who drives a prius. They have to draw the line somewhere with all of the laws they make or pretty soon this will no longer be a free country. So many people just stand by and watch the corrupt government take away all of our freedoms.

They should just make it part of the drivers test. Have you send some text messages while you are doing your driven test and if the instructor decides that you are a capable texter they will put a T as an endorsment on your license.
