‘Good to be home’
I'm so glad things went well, that you are home with family and friends again. Thanks to the pilot that brought you home to us.

In Touch
What a horrid advertisement for witchcraft services and a deviant lifestyle.

Support marijuana legislation
Allowing the use of medicinal grade cannibus can be a viable option for those in real need of help. It should be a separate issue from legalizing or decriminalizing recreational marijuana use.

Invasion of privacy
Absolutely Marcia! I also live in Hartford and those people think they have the right to do whatever whenever. They ask NOYB questions (how many toilets do I have) and act like you have no options but to let them walk around and look at whatever they want to. There was an advance adress checker out here last Spring that INSISTED that my address was not correct as it wasn't on her list. She was so sloppily dressed and unprofessional that I made her leave the property. (and just try to get a sheriff out here to enforce the law of the regular citizen)

Neighbors: Sprayed Yard a ‘Toxic Dump’County is asked to help
They say it is a civil problem, then take it into small claims court with your documentation. Research and documentation is what they listen to. A few pictures of him in the act wouldn't hurt either as well as the ordinances that apply. I had to threaten to sue my city to get them to uphold the ordinaces that a neighbor was violating making life miserable here.

Buxton Study: Part 2 of an occasional series
The last think this city needs is another eating establishment. Look at what has happened in the job market and what people are spending their money on before bringing in more specialty shops. Instead of spending several thousand dollars to research what might work here, poll the residents on what we want for our city.

Rural resident shoots stray dogs
I don't blame the gentleman one bit for the action he took. The blame lays with the irresponsible pet owners that left their animals to die by starvation or wild animal. We have the same problem in the small town where I live. The bigger problem is with the animal control and the sheriff depts. We have a contract with the Lyon County sheriff and animal control offices, a contract where they get paid to service this community. They often refuse to come, and if you don't have the animal contained, they also will not come. They refused to honor the contract on so many occasions that the city council had to take action against them. Don't blame the man or the Gazette. It is the pet owners causing the problem. (and yes, I have two rescue pets that I adore)

Playground project ready to roll
Hats off to Mrs. Keo (EMS) for organizing her Wellness students and arranging for them to lend a hand Thursday and Friday. Each year she tries to impress on her students the need to contribute to their community. Well done, Sunnin!
