i be curious as to what the state will do. if an alcohol establishment serves illegally, eventually the state will pull their alcohol license. is that not the case for food vendors? anyone know?

i for one am glad that the city commission is looking at alternatives for a location, rather than rushing in and building right where it is at, then in 5 years saying that they should move it. take your time, get some quality work done, and it will be there for years to come.

THIS IS SUCH A STUPID IDEA! STUPID!! leave the county in the county and the city in the city. there is one county like this in the state for a reason. if it were to be that good, everyone would be doing it. so stop wasting our money, and put an end to this crap.

i thought the city manager did alot better job than what we have had before. not only were the street crews out during this weekend and at night before the storm hit, the police department also had double the manpower that they usually have in order to not be bogged down with traffic accidents. i think he is doing a very good job in a city that was neglected in the past years. thanks for the help city workers.

emporia needs some new blood. i hope they dont pick someone that is already in the department. mr. morrow would have been great, because he would of come from a department with new equipment and money. he would of fought for the money to put into the police department. their equipment is 6-7 years old and they are required to put their lifes on the line with it. i hope that mr. zimmerman will see that there is a problem and it needs attention. not only with the police department, but with the city in general. mr. commons did nothing for us but collect a paycheck.
