Hard working Americans would volunteer and roll up their sleeves and make all these things happen instead of wasting all their energy complaining here and slamming others with a different point of view. Why do all keep blaming the city when they do nothing but provide services such as public safety, traffic control, public works *barricades* and such at no cost to the organizers. The city isn't budgeting any of this stuff other than the old amount to fund fireworks. An maybe instead of "cheap seats" I should have used the term "peanut gallery."

I can hear the whinney in the background. It's all been covered before and I wish the Gazette would correct the incorrect information posted here or remove it.

Didn't the enrollment go down? Here's an original thought, revise the budget and lower the tax asking.

I'm glad to see your reasoned responses are to bash anyone who dares to mention something other than what you believe in. Reaffirms my faith in Darwin's Theory.

my understanding was many of the vets are older and it's not wise to risk the lousy weather for them. They moved the service indoors. It was in the news yesterday. It's easy to second guess when you are sitting in the cheap seats. I'll be glad to see all of you who know better volunteering and donating your time and money for next year's activities.

Banning people from business based on their beliefs or opinions is bias and quite frankly opens you all up to a civil rights violation and probably a good law suit. Before you all start sending out the ban letters, you may want to check all those Constitutional principles everybody has been spouting off lately.

I will defer to those who spend their lives working with the teams that they know best. The tackle used with those horses is very expensive. They are an investment and I don't blame them for protecting them. How about giving them the benefit of the doubt rather than being so negative? Hope their PR folks aren't checking out all the negative folks lurking here.

With all the broken windows, lack of any controlled environment, I suspect the mold and vermin are pretty well infested in the place. I also don't believe, based on the developer's presentation, the existing structure would work anyway. I'm just happy it's going away and something of more value on the tax rolls will take it's place.

Lyon County doesn't have a district attorney, we have a county attorney, just FYI.
