Great story, but you spelled their last name wrong. It's McClellan.

Way to misread the quote. He is saying that the company was deciding where to expand to next. They chose to expand in Emporia first. Simple as that.

Why should a program that celebrates several different holidays be called the Christmas program? Honestly, not everyone is this town is Christian. I know this may come as a shock to your pretty little head.

Unless you are the direct descendent of a native American tribe, you too once infringed on the territory of a group of people with a foreign language and culture.

Your logic astounds me. Someone is unpatriotic because they don't mind shopping in stores alongside people who may not have the greatest grasp of the English language? I guess I'll have to stop sending my support to our troops overseas then.

And we don't have a national language.

Auf weidersen.

You're right. This is the USA. And this is what is inscribed on the Statue of Liberty:

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free; send these, the homeless tempest-tossed, to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

greenday - Have *you* been reading? Every other comment is about people not wanting to shop where businesses welcome Spanish speakers or Somalis. That's racism, plain and simple.
