Uproar is wrong

Felipe Calderon is in our country bitching about our imigration laws. Maybe we should pattern our illegal imigration laws just like Mexicos. Their laws include arrest,fines,jail and deportion. We have the laws,let's have the ba@#s to enforce them.

Emporia Vintner

You are in a restaurant.....you order a bottle of wine.......the waiter removes the cork......please, DONT BE A DORK AND SMELL THE CORK! The waiter should show you the stamp on the cork which should match the winery as labeled. This is to show you have what you ordered and they haven't refilled the bottle with a cheaper wine.

Dog attack

MELISSA E...Dogs have natural instincts, it's in the genes.Some hunt,some point, some herd,some are protective.Pit bulls natural instinct is to fight and kill. Victims of these attacks should take the owner to court for failure to control their dog. My wife and I walk our dog , I carry a knife large enough and sharp enough to gut one of these dogs if attacked and I will not hesitate to do so.

Parents think gifted children shortchanged

Approx.50 years ago I remember a well respeced local gentleman stated to a group of us " We will always be taxed in the name of education." Year after year that is our politicians and educationers theme. We are getting less for our education dollars now than ever before. Just visit a classroom, I have, and its a zoo. No wonder students have homework [or should have] because they are not being taught in the classroom.

Savory cheese recipes

I've attended the Great American Beer Festival in Denver the last two years. Garrett Oliver of The Brooklyn Brewery gives talks about what food goes with certain beers. Last year he hosted beer and cheese tasting. The goat cheese melted in your mouth and was delicious. He stated the cheese was purchased at Cosco at $31.00 a lb. I wrote the name down and misplaced it. I really do not think I'll be purchasing some soon anyway.
