Fair board supports demolition
The ? is where.... were all these people over the years...they didn't give a darnn about the buildings b4 or else they would of attended to them years ago...but the second someone wants to improve the area...people with agenda's start poping out of the woodworks...tear them eyesores down and make a little progress Emporia/LYCO!!!

Geez just when something nice gets proposed to make an area of town look more modern & free to the entire county you have a bunch bickering jerks fighting over Quonset Huts no wonder why there is no progress in that one horse town!!! I'm sure future prospects/projects will think twice about wanting to come to Emporia/Lyon Co. when they see this kinda of nonsense going on! Bowyer needs to put the money in another project & teach these people a lesson!

How despicable can a somone get! I hope when the find who is responsible for this criminal action they bury them under the damn prison. Thank god the baby was found & is okay!

I stand by this only being big brother (NASCAR) flexing it's muscle! They don't need an underated driver like Clint Bowyer wining the championship it will cost them millions! Clint won that race fair & square but NASCAR didn't like it! Some independent investigation should investigate NASCAR for their BS tactics. NASCAR just lost another fan & the way it appears it won't be long until those clossal tracks that have been built go unfilled...the sport is losing it's edge & with communist tactics like this will only further their demise...the hell with NASCAR & stay with the NFL! BTW-Good luck to Clint in Kansas eventhough I won't be watching!

Sound Off - Bowyer car fails inspection
I can agree with methusla about big money & big business infiltrating sports & therefore it wouldn't shock me to see some jake off from NASCAR tweak the car a hair because Clint isn't a big name as say Jimmy Johnson or Tony Stewart is & NASCAR couldn't have someone without a big name winning the Cup because doing that would cost NASCAR millions in revenue. So they will do everything in there power to tilt the table in their favor. If this decsion isn't reversed I'm outta of the business of watching NASCAR...they can shove it!

Coburn's expands menu
I would like to say that I enjoy Coburns burgers, fries, etc..I visit emporia once a yr. & I always stop by coburns, it reminds me of vista, I use to eat there when I was kid! As for the winers, it appears they are doing something right because it's difficult to stay open in the rest. business!!! Keep up the good work Coburns don't let the complainers discourage ya!!!

All you haters can shove it where the sun don't shine! Your the same jerks that are always asking what's wrong with the youth of today! Then when a well respected young gentleman like Clint comes around you bash him!!! Shame on you!!! Like corbin says you'd b**** if you were hung with a new rope! Emporia is a better place because of Clint's Foundation & all the small things he does nobody hears about! Believe that Emporia is a better place with Bowyer around & and would be much better place if you haters would all leave town!

Going South
The game of college football has become a business...so if the coach can't win games he must go...regardless of the players.. good, bad, or indifferent. The man will lose his job because he doesn't win football games.. this is his evaluation each week & he isn't cutting the mustard. It's unfortunate but thats how it is!!! All coaches know this when they sign on!!!

Star Construction owner charged
All I have to say is Collusion-a secret agreement for an illegal purpose...
It seems as though a set of plans were agreed upon for the proper construction of a street & the former city manager & his friend (herrick) thought they could get away with a fast one...kuddos to the whistleblower for notifying the proper authorities.
