Officers discuss fireworks show
orlando: I've heard good things about the holiday Resort show. Do you know if theyre doing it this year? If so when? and what about traffic control there?
michaelli66: Are you the supplier for the big Toso show? Or what? what's your point?

Officers discuss fireworks show
Maybe if they have trouble getting "all the fireworks" off in 45 minutes they should try putting more than one in the sky at once and shorten the delay between individual shots. I never thought I could be bored watching fireworks, but the one that lasted 45 minutes a couple of years back proved me wrong. You shouldn't be shooting them off one at a time unless its a demo shoot and you hand out programs so people can rate the different kinds. At least that would keep your attention.

Good people, good works
I have searched this website and could not find a story that includes the info I'm taking about:
Which agencies get how much money, and how much is spent on overhead.
If it has been published in _recent_ years, I have not seen it, nor have I been able to find it on this website.
I don't believe in gambling. And I don't feel like playing games with you, admireed. If you know where I (and others) can find this info, please do inform us.

Should each person who is interested go visit the Kress Building? or should the Gazette publish the breakdown of allocations when they come out? like they used to.
The figures may be _available_, but they have not been published in recent years. Why not?

It's a Record
Really? I've tried doing searches on this very website and can't find anything that specifies how much each agency gets, or what their overhead costs are and how they break down. I've been on Guidestar and seen the UWFH 990s, but that doesn't tell me which agencies got how much money.
Is there a different search term I should be using to find the meetings and board actions? I'm just putting in "United Way".

If that info is available, why isn't it in the Gazette?

Good people, good works
Not just _which_ agencies, but also _how much_ support each agency gets.
The Gazette used to publish this each year, but not the last several years. Why not? What are they hiding?

I think most of the money has to stay in the area, but I'm not sure how much gets kicked up to the regional and/or national levels.
They don't tell us that.
They also don't mention how much of the total will be used for "overhead".
I agree the people here are marvelously generous, but their generosity would go farther if they donated directly to the agencies instead of having their funds filter through United Way.
