Yes. I am an educated idiot. And proud to have not only a bachelors degree, but also a masters degree in the health field from a great college! So thanks!

I am pretty sure they probably have loyal customers just like every business in town that will keep coming back no matter what the decision on the smoking ban was.
If people use this as an excuse not to use certain businesses, then they are hurting the economy more then this smoking ban really should.
Pretty soon just watch I bet the CDC gets on the National government and smoking in public places will be out everywhere in the Land of the Free. Give it time! Atleast we will be ahead of that and already used to it so it won't affect us later!

Some of you people really shock me. No one can say what will happen, and I know a lot of college students that are still going to go to the bars and blow all their money no matter if they can smoke there or not. I also know quite a few that will travel to Lawrence on the weekends to see other friends because they can go out to the bars and enjoy a great time without having to smell like smoke when they get home. And personally I know quite a few people that smoke just because others around them and I am sure some of them will be happy to see this because they won't have to be social smokers anymore. Their choice yes. But a public place is a public place. And if you want to keep your business then make your service great. Isn't that what makes a person choose to go there in the first place.
Haven't you business owners learned this? I hope this proves everyone wrong and businesses see more people coming in and enjoying each bar or restaurants atmosphere!

Then if it passes no one can complain.....

Now what would be the purpose of a smoking ban if parents could still bring their kids into smoking places? If you want specific regulations set, and if everyone doesn't have the same regulations then the smoking ban would be pointless.
You can compromise, but to an extent, you either have to have it or you don't. It just doesn't make sense to say. Oh this business has this regulation, and that one has something different.

Good one! Who says that you have to be rich and elite to agree with the smoking ban.
Just because you might think those are the kind creating it you should think twice.
Some of you business owners might lose business because of your judgements not because of the smoking issue.

Just giving everyone the option to do something about it if they want to. People say they want things one way so then plan something to do something about the issue.
I never said that it would work.
I have no problem going to a non-smoking bar. I know a lot of people that really enjoy going to the Blind. So I do give them props!

So what would you all have complained about if this had passed? I guess you would have to find something else to complain about to fill all your time.
So why don't we worry about other issues instead of this one. It is done for the time being.
