Coach Strickland did nothing for the Spartan baseball team. His players were the only contributing factor to their "surprise" season, and he certainly did not aid them in earning that title. The EHS softball program definitely needs some help - but it's not going to come from Mike Strickland.

Mangino isnt even a good coach, okay he went to a big bowl game for one year? Wow. Snyder is probably one of the best coaches college football has even seen. Im not even a K-state fan and i can tell hes a good coach.

What is the city going to do about our mall? We cant compete with any other place when we have no retail. This city is going down what are you going to do to help it out?

Lowes would be an awesome attribute to Emporia. We need more bussiness and i hope it runs Sutherlands out because they suck and maybe then we can build a decent mall. We have no shopping and all we have for food is fast food. This town is going down hill and thats why we need to strive to bring in big businesses. The more big businesses we bring the more others see and then they also want to come.

Sorry lots of people could do without books. I mean sure some are fine and all when they have a purpose but really do we need a billion books. Elementary throught middle school makes kids so mad and make them hate school because of all the reading they make them do. Maybe people would appreciate them more if schools didnt make such a big deal about it and MAKE kids read. They may just pick one up themselves.

Create- I can make some sweet fireworks with your books. Books are fun to watch burn and this is for a celebration of our Independence but I guess you know if thats all you care about is books. But without that freedom you wouldnt have your dumb books now would you.

39-66? sounds like a great record to me. Ive known the kids who went to state for several years. They were a great team and should have gone farther than they did. outdoorsman25 you sound like a friend to Mr. Strickland or maybe someone who knows nothing about baseball. But one thing that should be clear is that he did not get them to state, they got themselves and the team this year had a semi good record because they cared and the coach had nothng to do with it.
