I would definately agree....take away cellphones and especially texting while driving. Most of this is not necessary....just go back a few years and these were not even available, and we all did fine. Let's face it, when you are using your hands and eyes for something other than driving, you are not paying attention to what you are doing. So many unnecessary deaths, especially in young people, have happened because of this and it must come to a stop!
Government officials, are you listening????? now do something about it!

I am getting older and it scares me to think that someone other than myself and my physican will decide IF I can get the care I need. I have a friend who lives in Canada and I was told that we definately do NOT want their health care system. She had a friend in her 40s that needed a MRI...she was told that she had to wait 10 months to have one, and by that time, her cancer had advanced too far to save her, and she died. She also said that if the Canadians really need something quickly, they come to the USA, take out a mortgage and pay for it themselves~~~
Also I have an acquaintance who lives in the UK and when I was facing my knee replacement, she said that over there I would have to wait 9 months to even see a surgeon and than wait another year to get it done~~~ I got in to see my surgeon in 4 days and had the surgery in 6 weeks here.
Is this national health care the insurance we want here?...I don't think so, or at least, I don't!!!!!

It is about time someone sticks up for the rights of the patient and being to chose their physican and keep their insurance of choice. Besides, this country is on the brink of bankruptcy now and can not afford this Obama based health care~~~~
I do agree that the cost of health care is too expensive, but put a cap on the malpractice insurance so that doctors don't have to feel they need to run every possible test so they don't get sued to the hilt.
Also, put some type of a cap on what the hospital can charge....a simple $15.00 asprin is crazy!!! I was charged $30.00 for a band-aid.......and they won't let you take your own meds....they want to charge you for theirs.

Way to go Senator/Doctor Barnett.....and I hope you will get elected.....we need someone who can speak for the people of Kansas and try and put a stop to this uncontrolled spending that is going on in Washington!!!!! GOOD LUCK

I can not believe ANYTHING is done for under budget and ahead of schedule any more.....someone has done a great job in managing the building of this.....way to go!!!!

It amazes me that so many of these posts are from such uninformed people....or you are not ones that know what is going on in the world.
How can you believe that we, our children or even our grandchildren can EVER pay the debt that our Presidents (past and present) and Congress are bestowing on us??? There is enough blame to go around....I hope that when the next election comes up, we will stand together and replace those congress members who have their "golden umbrellas" with their insurance and retirement never to worry about, for we are paying highly~~~~ Do you think that any of them are worried about the lives of the people in Emporia, Kansas??? I doubt it.
People, we have to do something to stop the debt we are getting due to the extra-ordinary needless spending that is going on in our land. Look at the pork spending they are doing....now is not the time to spend millions of dollars investigating the smell of pigs in Iowa....or any other place.
It is past the time to insist that only the necessities of this land be met....not the pet issues that the congressmen/woman have for their states and work for the entire USA~~~~
And for those of you who don't like that "God" was referred to...you have taken Him out of everything that our founders fought for and moved to a new continent to have. Maybe we are being punished for taking Him out of our land and our lives.
Wake up.....join the stop the spending NOW!!
