Sound Off - Bowyer car fails inspection

The car tank was full and the tires were cool at the beginning of the race...and at the end, the tank was empty and the tires were hot!....that certainly would account for "less than 1/16". Clint, I hope you win this one and your points will be restored!

Most of the above posters are always negative and uninformed about everything they respond to and it is indeed obvious they were not raised with the good manners your parents taught to you.

I wish Jim Barnett all of the best in returning to medicine. We need more good doctors like him who are dedicated to their patients. I know, because I am one!

Barnett back to Topeka, But This time as doctor

I am so thrilled to see Jim Barnett return to medicine and will be glad to drive to Topeka for his medical advice.

I realize that once you say you are not going to be re-elected, you are in a "lame duck" situation with the Senate and therefore, you are doing the ones in your district good by stepping down.

For the ones who do not know the aspects of medicine. When Dr. Barnett left his practice, he committed to do no practicing within 50 miles of Emporia, so that is the reasoning behind him locating to a different town.

GOOD LUCK, DR BARNETT ! I'll just see you in Topeka.

Clint, what a very generous thing this would be for Emporia and the surrounding areas. THANKS, not only for offering this, but the many, many other things you do for this city.
I never even watched a NASCAR race in my life, until you started racing...now if you are there, so are we! Good luck in making the "chase".

Texting & driving

I would definately agree....take away cellphones and especially texting while driving. Most of this is not necessary....just go back a few years and these were not even available, and we all did fine. Let's face it, when you are using your hands and eyes for something other than driving, you are not paying attention to what you are doing. So many unnecessary deaths, especially in young people, have happened because of this and it must come to a stop!
Government officials, are you listening????? now do something about it!
