Thank goodness! I've thought the scoreboard needed replacing for a long time, especially one with a video board. I think White auditorium is a great facility for sporting events, but needs a little updating. I wouldn't mind at all to pay a few extra dollars per ticket for games to help fund this. Maybe some updates would help to keep / get more championship games here to bring in some out-of-town money to Emporia.

I agree with the points that BJ makes with the exception of the snow removal. I've always thought the city does a pretty decent job of clearing the streets of snow, but I don't try to drive a Corvette in it either. Yeah our town sucks in many respects, but I'm not smart enough or have the money to fix it.

What a nice thing to do for fellow Emporians. It's good to hear of something good being done for our people by our community, as it seems it's been all gloom and doom on the news for too long..

Hey Neighbor, what the deal? Why are you attacking Bobbi on this? It was Eichorn that made the comparison. Bobbi only reported what he said. Your points about illegal hunting are correct, but I didn't hear or read that this is believed to be a hunting accident. This story is about a shooting last week, not about the one months ago that you're making points about. Read it again if you must. I think you need a new hobby. A newspaper critic isn't a good one. Get out and see a movie or something. I hear "Horton Hears A Who" is a good one. Let us know what you think about it.

If you were to take your own advice and put your money where your mouth is, you would have to sit on your money to see it.
Maybe you'll see me at the games. I'll be one of the fans cheering for ESU (win or lose), not complaining or coaching from the stands. I'm smart enough to know that I can't play or coach half as well as those guys on the field.
