Reflection at semester’s end
I very much prefer traditional classroom classes to online classes. I detest online classes.

Future ballfield options narrowed down, next step uncertain
Mr. Rzepka, please don't build out by the pool. Keep our city improvements in the core of the city.

New organization provides hands on practice to theories
Mrs. Dhority will provide the same excellent leadership to this organization and FHTC that she provided at Northern Heights and their FBLA chapter.

The Aroma of Dinner Rolls
I grew up in Downs, KS. I remember fresh dinner rolls, buerachs, spinich (yes, amazing), meat loaf, and seconds, but I don't remember what grade that started.
I've taught at a few small schools (Service Valley in south east Kansas and Reading, right here in Lyon county), and those school cooks gave out love, right along with the meals. The cooks at Northern Heights were grouchy sometimes (yes, that's you, Betty), but the kids that came to school hungry always had a good lunch, and in later years, breakfast, too.

Beating Dead Horses
Good article, Phil. Emporia, KS, home of Veterans' Day. Let's continue to honor it. Maybe there needs to be a leadership committee, made up of folks from different segments of Emporia life. They could meet on a regular basis, discuss trends and issues, and work together on common goals. Seems like maybe service organizations like the Lions, Optimists, etc., should already be doing this on an informal basis.

Some things I love
There's so much beauty and love in all our lives. We need a reminder, sometimes. Yes, there's frustration and stupidity, and there always will be, in this life. Happy Earth Day today, and Happy Easter soon!

New city park study could be in the works
Wow. A consultant? Really? We're still paying consultants for surveys? I thought that was a major discussion point in the election we just held.
