goodoleboy I am not going to apologize for crap to you or anyone else . Call the ACLU on some of these teachers. I have and I wont apolgize for that niether. My son is not dumb nor is any kid to dumb to learn something. Follow along now. Thats what I meant. I felt sandman was being harsh towards kids and acting as if because they are in special ed they must be dumb.My son picked up 4 grades in 2 years he is capable he just needed a teacher that was too. There are several kids just like him that are capable of learning with some help.

My son was on an IEP for the past 13 years. Most of the time it was not followed. I had to get Families Together here from Topeka just to get these schools to do there job, Things would go OK for awhile and then the same stuff started right back up. For instance EMS one of his teachers weighted 400 pounds and would be to lazy to come help him because she did not want to get up from her desk emailing and eating snacks. She would get an attitude with him when she had to do her job.She would get up to go talk to one of the other teachers when she came into the room so they could talk about how they went to the bars and could not find a man and how they would try next week. When my son told her he didnt care to hear about her love life she sent him to the office for being disrespectful. When IEP meetings came around everything was my sons fault and she would request for his Ritlin to be upped. Shes not a good teacher but she wanted to play doctor. The list goes on and on. In the 8th grade I told all teachers dealing with him and doctors he would NO longer be doped up for there comfort level or for the money they were making off of him.I contacted a lawyer to protect my sons rights once in for all. His reg doctor confirmed they were over drugging my son. The amounts of dope he was on I was told by his reg doctor could have killed him and he said he would not have given that much to a grown up much less a kid.(But the special ed teacher was whining for more).I then called the SRS and told them that if they were to get a complaint from the schools are doctors I would fight them in court any day and sue if needed. Im sorry to say that is the only thing people understand lawsuit and /or bloodshed. My son is doing much better, His still a little behind but not as bad as he was.Thanks to a few good teachers that have been helping him at EHS.He is happier off of dope. I think these schools and doctors are milking that ADHD all the way to the bank. I dont care if someone is bright or not so bright they all deserve some chance at life. We are only borrowing them from God we could do better with kids these days.

biscuitboy I dont hate everything but when you live with the crap I have had to deal with year after year with these schools it leaves a bad taste in your mouth and on your heart. I just felt people on this blog are running disabled people down and that doesnt fly well with me. The goverment and Unions have showed what they are about so I think most people dont like them.

Sandman where is accountabilty when the system is being abused everyday at our schools not just here but all over the US and we are paying more and more and the kids are getting dumber. You go to Sonic and high school kids have trouble with simple math. Nor can they can spell or, read well. My oldest boy was so sick of these teachers he quit school at 16 in the 9 grade. He went and completed his GED in 30 days and started ESU at 16. What was so sad is everything he would try to tell the high school history teacher at EHS she would deny he knew what he was talking about. When he showed her up she would get mad and send him to the office. Her excuse he was being rude. No your just not that bright was my thought.The history professors at ESU said he was on the money about everything he was saying. Not one day goes by that my son would not come home and tell me how little some of these college kids really know. My son knew more at16 than some of the18 to19 year old kids out of the EHS 12 grade.He saved his time and left that joke at 16.(he saved you 3 years of taxpayers money) He also told me how much they cheat to get ahead at ESU. Due to lack of knowledge and lifes a party attitude. My son reads all the time to make sure his not dumb. The school did him no favors believe me he did it on his own. His younger brother was only very little behind when he was 4 and with help he would have been fine. The co-op said how much they could help him. Little did I know they would help thyself for 13 years to a free check.Now that is a waste of my time and my sons time and TAXPAYERS MONEY. The public school system is a complete joke and needs reform and teachers need to get paid on how well they do there job. I promise they would learn to do there jobs then. Kids would know how to read then... HAH. I also blame worthless parents too believe me,and there are kids unteachable or just dont want to learn its not just teachers BUT they do have my kid 8 hours a day.

No one is so called normal so I dont judge anyone. As far as the goverment goes I hate them, They are controlling our life in a way that is scary. There is to many dam programs and laws that keep taxpayers pin down and unable to support there family and unable to feel free to do anything. Paying more for less freedom.But if the programs exist and we are paying for it anyway then a teacher should be able to do the job. I really cant blame the goverment for the schools. I blame corrupt Unions.

My son was in there so called special ed for 13 years now.When he entered the 9th grade he was reading in a 3rd grade level ,Talk about a waste of 13 years of tax dollars paying these worthless people all that time to take someone 3 years. When he entered the 9th grade a wonderful teacher that really cared about my son took him under her wing and helped him. She brought him up from the 3rd grade to the 7th grade in 2 years. Thats a real teacher. My son is not some dam tard to stupid to learn. He just needed someone to take time with him and someone that didnt want to milk the system out on my kid. In the 5th grade the teacher was putting my son in a room for the entire day by his self WHAT HELP WAS THAT .Im sure you will side with the union that protects you, but I have lived through this nightmare with worthless teachers that dont care about kids for years now.Its people with the mind set you have sandman that kids are failing. My point was all I wanted was for my son to know how to read and spell. I feel that will benefit the taxpayer in the long run when his not in jail, or a drug addict, or living on welfare his whole life. You can pay now or later. Do I have a problem with kids that cant even hold a spoon up to feed their self yes I do. I feel they need a different kind of help than a school and for those parents they are getting a free ride with a babysitter, because some people do have way to many problems to be in school. Not every kid in special ed is to dumb to learn they are in there because they need extra help. Thank you YY4U for understanding what a problem this district is. I didnt expect someone that works for this goverment doctrine camp to understand anyway. I knew these union lovers would not like what I had to say. OH WELL.

I agree we have some great teachers, but we have to many bad ones in this town and all over this country. I have a disabled son that has been in this special ed system for 12 to 13 years now. He is still years behind. I went to every meeting begging for help and the only thing these teachers wanted to talk about was everything is your kids fault and they need to be on more dope. They want to keep your kid dumb it keeps them in a free check year after year. I finally gave up on meetings. I also know a boy that EHS passed that cant read or spell. He could not pass any test for college. He could not find work, So he is going to the Army because of money and health insurance problems.Thats not a reason you should have to go to war. He could be killed because of a forced decision put on him due to a lack of education. Our public schools are in need of teachers that should be there and get rid of the losers. If you go to the website GOA (UnitedStatesAccountabilityOffice) You can find several cases where special ed teachers have killed someones child by using excessive force restaining them. Example Case #2 a 230 pound special ed teacher sat on a 129 pound disabled kid till he stopped breathing because of compression to the lungs. He died because he would not be seated,HE WAS 14. A child should not die by the hands of his parents or anyone else and especially for such a minor thing. This case was ruled a homicide, but NO charges were ever filed on her. She is still a teacher for disabled kids. The list goes on and on with cases of teachers legally killing children in the US and still working collecting taxpayers money. I do not know of ANY other job that its OK to kill someones kid and just continue your life like nothing ever happened. She would be the one not breathing if that was my child she killed. You can blame the Union for these teachers thinking we ow them more,more,more and that they can do what they want to our kids and get by with it. Unions are corrupt and make billions in dues a year to keep crap teachers like that in our system. I have had a teacher and principal in this district lie to the BOA to cover their as$. When my son was abused here. I have not met many good special ed.teachers in this town. They seem to be worser than the reg ones. The special ed teachers that should be more patient and understanding of a kids disability and should want that kid to be somebody in life and work hard with them. Not blame the kid constantly or whine for dope every meeting. You can pay now or later for a kid that was not helped in school. Please dont take a special ed teachers job if your not a patient person. Do all of us a favor. I have had kids tell me the only thing these teachers want them to learn is the state testing. So for the loser teachers they are over paid and the good ones under paid for sure.
