I understand calls come in order and also taken on viciousness but not all dogs can be read so easliy nor should a regular person be trying to make that decsion.I see people speeding am I suppose to pull them over?No of course not it is not my job. IThe city spends money on stupid things like big clocks and floors of the court house and desk's that cost more than my house and expect us to pay for these things but not the things to protect our community.My nieghbor is 87 years old a jump from an over friendly dog could hurt her, her skin is thin and her 30% bone denisity a fall could cause her to break a hip and then we are still disscussing how to make this problem better?? DO YOUR JOB CITY WRITE TICKETS TO EVERY ONE WHOM LETS THEIR DOGS RUN AND YOU CAN PAY THE ANIMAL CONTROL FOR A GOOD DAYS WORK stop slapping their hands and expecting people not to get peeved off. Animal owners that let thier dogs run loose can stir up a nieghborhood faster than anything.I personally have an outside dog she does not run loose nor do I walk her or let her go to poop in the nieghborhood but I get mad when people do it to me. Ask our nieghbor HOW she liked cleaning her dogs poop off of her car handle a few monthes ago at 6 am before work just as much as I liked picking up out of my yard everyday because she lets it out the front door instead of her BACK fenced in yard. People this is a no brainer enforce..enforce..enforce and you be taken seriously!!

IT has never done any good to call animal control 3 years ago my husband and a dog was involved in an accident on a motorcycle that involved our nieghbors boxer.GETTING animal control out was hard they didn't really seem interested till we told them the police had been called.But we have a nieghbor to the south of us that has an nasty little dog that runs loose non stop with their children animal control was called a few weeks ago this dog had gotten into another nieghbors yard and was running with thier dog in the fence animal controll was called the dog scurried out and went home animal controll went and had a talk with our nieghbors. that was it. the dog is constantly running loose and he is very small a dog bite is a dog bite whether it be a pitbull or a tiny little ankle biter.HIT THE POCKETBOOKS OF THE OWNWERS AND THIS WOULD STOP BE CONSISTANT EMPORIA COMMISSIONERS IT WILL WORK.In 10 years that I have lived here I have owned 2 dogs our older male has gotten out 5 times each time i looked for him I callled animal control and once I had to pay to get him out. I did so without complaint I was wrong but I also had his pen strenghtened and tryed to make it less likely he would get loose. In our nieghborhood owners think its okay to let their dogs run loose its not... for the safety of your community and for the safety of your dog.IF SOMEONE WOULD ENFORCE THE LAWS EMPORIA HAS.ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS DONT GET PAIDED TO MAKE FRIENDS THEY GET PAIDED TO DO A JOB make them do it Emporia!!

I have had a bad experience with my old doctors office not with the doctor the nurse he keeps in his office.I did make him aware of the problem just incase he didn't know his own nurse was turning away patients (i've been seeing him for ten years) and I really liked him but his staffing sucked, but a really nice thing about Emporia call another office if you have a problem and see their response I have an awesome doctor with a staff that is so great I have went so far to contact higher management just to let them know how great this group is and how I think they deserve a metal... Hospital on the other hand I have seen them drop my grandfathers pills on the floor and pick them up and try to give them to him anyway.....jeeze that is horrible and maybe they should clean house and enforce some law and order because if I had to rate them I think it would be very low

Maybe if our City would take action from dogs running loose this whole thing could have been avoided.Its horrible that everyone is fighting over a problem I have addressed with the police and our animal shelter. We HAVE ANIMALS RUNNING LOOSE and I being an animal owner can tell you they are animals they can bite. But owning them you are suppose to be responsable for them that includes making sure they are in your care at all times.When company comes to my home they allways ask do my birds, cats, and dog bite...my answer is they can they are cabable but do they I personally have never seen it but as I said they can and my dog does not run the nieghborhood leaving little presents on other lawns let alone biting people.The city needs to GET IN THE REPEAT OFFENDORS OF LETTING MY DOG RUN LOOSE POCKETBOOKS and it would stop.But when you call and they can not come out or have noone to come out thats silly we pay taxes.I personally have hauled my nieghbors dog to the police station and dropped him off myself becasue they don't have an officer available.How far does a person have to go is what I asked the police chief in an email do I need to start pulling over speeding cars. These things are not the job of Emporia citizens but the job of our City Enforce THE LAWS we have quit slapping hands for heaven sakes and that should help with the safety of our community

I think it is nice that people are willing to take their animals out for a ride Mr.Bailes I would not question your animals you know them best.But would you stand up for everyone whom let's thier animal ride in the back of a vehicle.NOT everyone is a responsable pet owner that is why we have dog at large laws in Emporia even though they are not very well enforced.My husband when we first met had got a puppy whom rode in the back of his truck one ride almost cost him his life he jumped out in excitement and fortunately hit the dtch and not our back tire.Just because you have a well ridden dog does not mean everybody has that well ridden of a dog.It sounds Like YOUR the only one acting like they have a silver sppon you are thrwoing a fit because you didn't get your wa.SO if the commissioners have a silver sppon in their mouthes WHERE is yours stuck? I mean your not thinking of they whole picture only your own and I would agree the commissioner have done things I think are dumb as hell but really is this one of them???
