Sheriff’s office to buy new patrol vehicle
why are we still using the old......gas sucking crown vics.....the sheriff needs to invest in some Chevy Impalas......or some Dodge Chargers.....all around the same cost.....and do away with those energy wasting rotating warning beacons.......led are the best and brighter and have more function programs..............also we need to get some of those new rumbler sirens........to be honest our police and sheriffs forces are starting to become outdated....if the city expects officers to preform their best.....then we should give them the best......they risk there lives.....that is the least we can do.......

fine then wirewatt..........if you dont want to take part in our towns seasonal program than dont come........or better yet do as you said.......leave.......like it or not other religions have become part of our culture.....this is the new world now.......so deal with it........

Encroachment
I would not know...but is there a law that would keep the not smoking in public buildings thing from effecting national or international businesses in Emporia. Flying J National Truck Stops, Etc.

Opponents say Clean Air Emporia over-reaches with smoking ban plan
Has anybody ever seen a clean air convection fan. If a place has enough money they can buy one. I have seen them...........once smoke comes out of the people..............it just gets sucked right into the roof........................sticks to filters.........................

What do you do if you live in a public place ?...........like ESU, apartment, or other type of public or private housing that will only allow smoking outdoors. Do i have to drive out of the city limits 4 times a day just to enjoy a smoke. Is this not taking away freedoms. Now we just need to ban alcohol because the city sewer will get backed up with drunks vomit.......give me a break.
