Does anyone know if the rumors on this situation are true?? I heard Dorneker was sleeping with Foleys wife at the time and thats why there was a confrontation. If thats the case Im surprised Foley didnt pull the trigger. Also if that was true wouldnt Dorneker be in line for some professional slap on the hand?? Or was that just swept under the rug like all other small town politics??

This is truely a sad day for Emporia. This new "Police Chief" obviously wants his own staff since we have lost 2 of the finest public servants any town could ask for!! Apparently, there are deeper issues here than just Mr. Williams.

Wonder how many bars will close because of the ban forcing more people to the unemployment line?? In these economic times you'd think people would think about that side of it as well.
And for the record I am a closet smoker so I dont smoke in public anyways.

In my opinion these low risk offenders are the same ones that are out there vandalizing county signs. The same signs I have read articles where the county is crying about how much money its going to cost to replace. You cant have it both ways .... Either go after these criminals or take your medicine.

We must all be F'king Hicks if we cant see through this smokescreen ........... 10%!!!! 10%!!! 10%!!! Thats how many people actually wanting his name on the sign. DUH!! Do you think that would be the reason to pull his name out?? The same reason a presidential candidate pulls his name from the running ..... cause he has NO chance of winning.
