IMPORTANT: City of Emporia releases emergency weather plans
"If an emergency is declared, drivers should stay off of the road until the streets have been cleared" ..... Lol now that's funny

City to spend at least $100,000 on entrance monuments
$41,000 for the foundation another $30,000 for the stones .... What is the other $30,000 going? Landscaping? That is a *%#* ton of landscaping IMO. But with Zim involved are we surprised?
Furthermore, is a entrance sign on south 99 really the wisest thing considering it will be washed away every other year? Smart money would be spent on east bound 35 directly before exit 133.

City to get tough on unpaid parking tickets
Exactly TexasGirl - Do they just overlook speeding tickets as well?
If memory serves me correctly didn't the city deny even owning this impound lot??
I for one am not surprised they chose the boot/tow options. This will help them justify buying that lot and building (at taxpayers expense) without any prior approval from the suits on the board. But what do us HICKS know anyways.

Cheerios honors Clint Bowyer in today's paper
@justaflushaway..
If his Yugo was worth 500 Gs, his fat girl friend was 100 "highly qualified engineers", his mommy's house was a state-of-the-art tech garage and instead of going for the laundry he was vying for a MULTI-million dollar paycheck and at that one Pitstop there are a couple hundred NASCAR officials whose sole responsibility it is to make sure all participants are playing by the same rules... Then after that little trip do you think that fraction of an inch is a big deal??
And we'll just leave the poop smell jokes to ourselves!!!
Have a good evening toiletboy!!

Bowyer withdraws from consideration for entrance signs
We must all be F'king Hicks if we cant see through this smokescreen ........... 10%!!!! 10%!!! 10%!!! Thats how many people actually wanting his name on the sign. DUH!! Do you think that would be the reason to pull his name out?? The same reason a presidential candidate pulls his name from the running ..... cause he has NO chance of winning.
G'day,
F'king Hick

Bowyer gives camp a boost
Makes me go Hmmmmm ...... Why do "Celebrities" always have to get their name in the tabloids when they donate money?? Isn’t it good enough that it’s a good cause and they are getting the tax benefits??
