My wishes may come true. Soon there may be no Emporia for anyone to complain about. Thats when my master plan goes into effect. I will turn it into a modern ghost town amusement park. See the brand new haunted courthouse. See the delapidated apartments where actual people lived not 5 years ago. Ride the vacant beef plant ride.
I'll be rich I tell you.

All Emporia really did was rename Armistice Day and change its scope from the end of WWI to include all past and future Veterans. I am amazed that the Gazette wouldn't at least mention this (sarcasm intended). What do they need a sign for. If it were factual it would read, "Emporia, we renamed something that already existed for nearly 30 years." I am sure industry will be beating down the proverbial door when they hear that slogan!! Not to mention that the same day is Polish Independence Day, and a national holiday in many European countries, where it is known by many days. It still signifies the end of the war to end all wars to the people of Europe who can walk the battlefields.

I've always said that Emporia had more teabaggers per capita than any city I've ever been in.

What a shame about Dr. Coldsmith. I know that many Emporians will miss him. At least his family didn't use Roberts Blue Barnett, so we don't have to see them act like they care, when it is a prominent citizen.

If you want to keep it going, move it to a community that cares about such things. You'd think that such a community would exist in Emporia because of the college's long history in teaching teachers, but you would be mistaken!

I think the business closures are due to the fact that Emporia is essentially seen as "crappy version of McPherson". Now there is town roughly the same size as Emporia where industry has been attracted and the people seem happy. I don't know if you can smoke or not, but if you are leavin' Emporia...

I can't believe that he vanished into thin air. And you would think there would be a little more coverage. I hope he is safe and sound.
