It’s the law: Sidewalks must be cleared

I don't like all the snow on the sides of the road either but after all the complaints of wasting money you want the snow plows to do what......pile it in the middle of the road then pay someone to come behind and pick it up and take it where...to the country for those folks to take care of....go ahead don't clear your sidewalks on the property that you own. Then someone comes along walking their dog and slips and falls. Guess what....lawsuit. And you have no recourse since it is again, the law to clear your sidewalk. Just saying......

People will always find a way to bash a good deed won't they. This is why people hesitate to dontate time and money at all. Don't have money for food Henry? But have money for the internet? Or maybe you are sitting at the Emporia Public Library...using the free internet....where Clint donated that computer you might be using......jeez

No kidding....I saw a 30 something women swerving all over the place yesterday while texting....AND had a women follow me so close to church yesterday I could not see her front bumper and I am not one to drive slow...I was going the speed limit though for a change. But you know....dang teenagers...whatever.

Gas prices drop in Emporia

Thanks Melissa....that was in the article....

I think that the difference in gas prices across a small town in irritating...it just shows that the gas stations near the busy roads are ripping us off. I will always go across town to get gas cheaper...I know it's dumb but it's the principal of the thing...

I don't think its all intollerance of annoyances of other people but also that people don't have the manners they used to. It is rude to talk loudly in public on your phone....most people don't want to hear your private conversations...

just for the record resturants and bars are not public places....they are privately owned businesses...the courthouse and govt owned offices are..and they are already non smoking...

Boys tender pleas in zoo cases

Create - could not have said it better myself.....this was not a simple "mess up" normal kids would have. Breaking a window or something....This was rage and scary. This will not be the last we hear of these boys either I can guarantee that.
