I wonder what upperclassmen you are talking about. The statistics are led by upperclassmen: Sloan El and Ko led in rushing, Partridge was the leading reciever. On the defensive side of the ball it seems they were decimated by injuries, sometimes it seemed they were playing everybody that was healthy.

Wow, ha ha, this thread has gotten hilarious. What's with all the calling out of DJ's. I've never had a drink on the job while I was DJing and never would, the work is important. I would love for you to point out some bad DJ's most of us are professionals and put alot of time and money into our work.

Wow, I do take offense to the "smart as a DJ at the bar" comment. Thanks for sticking up for DJ's Melissa and Josies. I may be a DJ, for fun because I enjoy it, but I also have helped orginize political campaigns (which won I might add), been published in several nationally recognized literary reviews and graduated with honors. So to be "as smart as a DJ at the bar," is actually a compliment.

Yep, next time you get caught using drugs, be like, oh I'll just take some days off work to punish myself. Athletes caught with Marijaunna or using steriods get suspended from work. And we wonder why our kids think its okay to use drugs.

Are you serious, we're arguing about this..... it's amazing how bigotry can turn a fun event into something that's harming our children. Laughter, which their will be alot of that night, is the best medicine. Many of the men in the line-up are huge contributors to charity. Scott Hays raises thousands every year with his polar bear plunge. So before you go after people who are trying to help our kids stay of drugs (by the way a waking up dead from an OD is more detrimental to your health then watching a hilarious cross dresser) so I say thank you, for helping raise money to keep kids off drugs.

Neighbor, I have noticed the same tendencies, when I was in college my car at times would get 30 miles to the gallon highway and about 25 on the local streets. Since gas rocketed I've seen mileage of about 24 on highway and 21 to 22 on local streets, seems a little fishy to me.

Now forgive me if I read something wrong. But I thought the article was about how the Athletic Program finished better than any other program in the conference and 289 programs nationwide. If that's a program being run into the ground than I would say 289 programs (including Washburn, Pitt and Fort Hays State) have some explaining to do. Because if ESU (which you claim is run into the ground) is indeed grounded, what does that make the other 289 Division II Programs that finished behind them?? Just curious??

While I agree with all you've said above, I think after a couple fo days, putting up the article would be okay. Or atleast putting a link to the discussion on the story teaser, so people know where it is being discussed.

I've always been a big supporter of the Gazette and think you guys do a good job. But come on, you write a great article about ESU Athletics and then don't put the whole article online, and don't allow discussion about it. I mean, wasn't the whole point of having forums to inspire discussion, then you hide one of the most though provoking stories to appear above the fold from the readers eyes and don't give them enough to sink their teeth into. So I say give them a day to buy the paper, then put it online for us to talk about.
