West Highway 50 is notorious for collisions. The on - line article said the accident happened at 4:30 p.m. I don't see where it is listed that fog played a role in the accident. Perhaps the online article is lacking this information? People of all ages need to be aware that under severe conditions, one can't drive at a normal speed, but more of a prudent speed.
