Someone tell him something, if he doesn't hear it, he will be forced to make it up on his own. JK Steve!

Might be that the EPD is playing its card close to the vest and doesn't want this information out there. Not for any sinister reason, it simply makes the investigation easier if not everyone knows everything. If you want to know, go find the desk clerk from the motel, I am sure they know something.

It's the flu! Lock up your wives and children, stay off the streets, better yet go see Corbinski at his place!

Isn't the Assistant County Counselor supposed to be collecting the money from those that don't pay their taxes?

If that is the case then it is a sad commentary on the Emporia Gazette. There are articles that talk about people being killed, charges against public (ex) officials and any number of vehicle accident pictures that have graced the front pages. Why should this be any different? A business is alleged to have been negligent in the proper payment of their sale tax, that they collected, the state steps in and seizes the business. It does appear to that their is an obvious two tiered system in place by the gazette and that, quite frankly is a poor way for them to behave.

Why were the comments on the story disabled? Why was this immediately buried in the forums?

Hey there neighbor: He doesn't have to prove his innocence, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt or pleads guilty. If you want to participate in the "prove yourself innocent" system you will need to go to China, Iran or some other terroristic regime.

I agree with Seriously. We don't want to make the logs in the jam to feel out of place or not wanted.

Isn't this stuff just common sense? Oh yeah, sense isn't that common these days.

hottopics: The Court doesn't bring the charges, they are simply the mechanism for dealing with the charges. Just FYI...
