Public opinion slows project
It would seem from their comments that they are going to do this, it's just a matter of when. I would think with the high level of public outcry in regard to this issue that if it rammed down the residents throats there would be enough people to sign recall petitions. Force them to either listen and represent the wishes of the people that they serve or push them out, simple as that.

Franklin Co. deputy killed in crash
Emegazfan will be the first one to complain when they call 911 and it takes the officer a little longer to get there because they don't "spring into action". It's nice that this writer has been able to pass to judgement on the deputy based on what has happened in other parts of the country. That ability must make you an excellent pick to be on a jury.
Why don't we wait and see what happened? Could there have been a mechanical malfunction? A deer in the road? Or, yes, the officer could be at fault. Plain and simple, we don't know yet.

You have got to be kidding me! Charged with rape and a laundry list of other charges and they get to plead out to a misdemeanor? Either the investigation was terribly flawed or the prosecution was simply lazy in this case.

"get killed themselves". Wow, that is quite a statement and makes me wonder what Mr. Lukert thinks of other people. What about the guy that gets the notice that his yard needs mowed? Does he want him to "mowed" down? I think that his statements are overboard and I am not really sure that they should have been allowed into the paper.

Police look into shooting
Might be that the EPD is playing its card close to the vest and doesn't want this information out there. Not for any sinister reason, it simply makes the investigation easier if not everyone knows everything. If you want to know, go find the desk clerk from the motel, I am sure they know something.
