Emporia State head volleyball coach Ken Murzcek has announced the addition of ten players that will attend Emporia State and play for the Hornets. The incoming group is made up of six transfers and four freshmen.
Emporia State saw all of their competitors come home with a top-ten finish on the final day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
An NCAA Division II national championship coach and an Emporia State Hall of Honor member will be the next Hornet head baseball coach.

Three Hornets earned the MIAA Academic Award of Excellence to highlight 12 Emporia State softball players that earned academic honors from the MIAA.

Harrison Brown and Jaden Tredway were named MIAA-GAC Scholar-Athletes to highlight six Emporia State men’s tennis players honored by the Association for their efforts in the classroom. Theo Belmonte, Pablo Carranza, Lleyton Fosha and Sergio Vera joined them on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Emporia State Baseball had four Hornets earn All-MIAA recognition for the 2023 season. Noah Geekie, Ian Lanik and Kadyn Williams were named honorable mention while Palmer Hutchison was named to the gold glove team.
