At 3 a.m., an officer located the stolen vehicle at 2935 W. 24th Ave. occupied by six people. The officer stopped three of the occupants and three others ran from the scene. Those three were arrested at the Emporia High School track by Emporia Police Officers and Emporia State University police. Two of the suspects were identified as Kevin G. During the investigation, it was found the six suspects had burglarized a vehicle in the Tyson parking lot, Flint Hills Pointe Apartment complex parking lot and the car wash and a vehicle in Olpe. Throw the book at them. Give them the highest punishment available. We need to make examples of them so maybe the other young criminals will think twice.

I agree. Post their pictures all over town so it will be known who the dirtbags that you can't trust are. The fines should be so high that it takes them years to pay off so they have to think about their chosen lifestyle! Why should the victims be the only ones who pay?

Let us hope and pray that those who NEED to be punished WILL be punished. My father would not have hesitated to throw the book at them!!

Our problems with crime are on the rise here in Emporia and even I am beefing up security with backed up 24/7 video surveillance plus an attack German Shepherd watch dog.

It may seem exaggerated but were I used to live everyone lived with a wall around their house because the lack of respect for personal property was so bad, i.e. violent crime and property theft.

Because of the nature of my previous work ,in a foreign country, I moved very, very frequently and was illegally armed with very powerful weapons. Not to mention my late beloved protector Yoda the German Shepherd, that the Emporia Gazette flatly refused to publish an obituary. I will never forget the smallness of their refusal to publish an obituary for my German Shepherd protector Yoda Body.

Because of the demand for my presence elsewhere I will probably leave here in a couple of years anyway but may God help those whose intend to harm or rob me.

As I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, thy Stinger and thy Tow they comfort me.

When are you going to publish an obituary for Yoda Eckdall?

May the god of light bless you,
Frank Funston Eckdall
