Americus area resident Karl Kayser, 94, collapsed and died at a fire at 2659 Road F on Thursday. Kayser and his son were doing a controlled burn when the fire spread to an old boxcar and an outbuilding and firefighters were called. When Kayser collapsed, firefighters administered CPR and called for an ambulance, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. View photo
