Thirteen to fourteen cars derailed approximately a half mile west of the Main Street crossing in Neosho Rapids Tuesday, June 24. The cause of the derailment of the Burlington Northern Railroad train has yet to be determined. No one was injured in the incident, which occurred at approximately noon.
