Emporia High School business teacher Bev Toso helps herself to cookies in the shape of ribbons while attending a benefit lunch for Maria Adkins Wednesday afternoon at EHS. Adkins, a paraeducator at EHS, was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago and is currently at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City.
