There were no injuries associated with a structure fire Tuesday afternoon at 404 N. Poplar in Lebo caused between $115,000 and $120,000 worth of damage. The home was occupied by Kimberly Smith and her two children and Smith’s fiance Geoffrey Gorup. Gorup was the only one home at the time of the blaze. View photo

A structure in Lebo is still standing but received severe damage after a fire that caused more than $100,000 in damage. There were no injuries associated with the fire. View photo

The Emporia High boys cross country team will begin the season ranked second in Class 5A behind defending champion St. Thomas Aquinas.
