Albert Perry Knight, South Hutchinson

1919 - 2008

Former Emporian Albert Perry Knight, 88, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at his home in South Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Lebo, the son of John and Kitty Edwards Knight.
Mr. Knight moved to Hutchinson from Emporia in 1961, and worked for Detroiter Mobile Homes in Hutchinson before retiring in 1985.
He married Ethel Mae Gosser on Jan. 7, 1944, in Ottawa. She died April 24, 1995.
Survivors include one son, John, of Hutchinson; five daughters, Wanda Knight, Ronda Page, Sondra Knight and Albonda Wilson, all of Hutchinson; and Shronda Hankins, Geneseo; two sisters, June Newton of Burlingame and Zora Gosser of Osage City; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill; a sister, Jean, and a great-granddaughter, Brooke.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory in Hutchinson. Wayne Pittman will preside. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum in Hutchinson.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
