Marjorie L. Bass, Emporia
1917 - 2008
Marjorie L. Bass, a resident of the Holiday Resort and formerly of 722 Whildin St., died Friday, March 21, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. She was 91.
Mrs. Bass was a homemaker.
The daughter of Gilbert and Cecil Davis Atnip, she was born Feb. 15, 1917, at McPherson. After her mother died during Mrs. Bass’s early childhood, she was reared by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Davis.
She married Lloyd A. Bass on Feb. 17, 1940, at Cottonwood Falls. He died March 10, 1997, at Emporia.
Mrs. Bass is survived by a cousin, Dean Gilbert of Spring Hill, Tenn.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Patio Garden in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Hoskins of the First Congregational Church will conduct the service.
