Sarojini Veeraraghavan, Emporia
Sarojini Veeraraghavan of Emporia died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. She was 80.
The daughter of Iya Sami and Dhanalakshni Iya Sani, she was born Jan. 18, 1928, in India. She married Veeraraghavan Balakrishnan in June 1941 in India. He died April 30, 1973, in India.
She is survived by one son, Veeraraghavan Chandrakumar of Emporia; two daughters, Banumathi Rajan of Kendall Park, N.J., and Sumathi Sathiamoorthy of Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Kothandharaman, Krishnamoorthy and Pandarinath, all in India; one sister, Kujila in India; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held. Cremation is planned.
Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
