Emil L. Krueger, Emporia

Emil L. Krueger died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at his home, 2001 E. Logan Ave. He was 69.
Mr. Krueger was a farmer and rancher for 49 years and a lead person on the trim line for Kan Build from 1989 until he retired in 2004. He also was a self-employed carpenter.
The son of Albert Emil and Eleanor Williams Krueger, he was born May 6, 1938, at Emporia. He married Judy Diley in November 1960. They were divorced. He married Charlotte M. Dill Kaniper on Jan. 12, 1980, at Topeka. She survives.
Mr. Krueger was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of the Lyon County Fair Board for 12 years, the Santa Fe Trail Stockyards and REA Express for 10 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Timothy Krueger of Lebo and Todd L. Kaniper of Gypsum; two daughters, Michelle Cassiday of Spring, Texas, and JaNae Brown of Lebo; a sister, Barbara Redeker of Emporia; and 10 grandchildren. A sister, Thelma Krueger, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Miller will conduct the service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
