Kyle Wesley Morgan, Maple Hill

Kyle Wesley Morgan of Maple Hill died Monday, March 3, 2008. He was 23.
The son of Robert and Debra Sleezer Morgan, he was born Nov. 5, 1984, in Topeka. Survivors in this area include his grandparents, Mick and Stella Sleezer of Lebo and Wayne and Doris Smith of Emporia.
Mr. Morgan was a journeyman machinist at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Topeka. Earlier, he was an apprentice carpenter for Hewes Construction, later working for Caterpillar in Wamego. He was a First Responder and Fire Chief for his fire brigade at Goodyear, recently recognized with a plaque and certificate by Soldier Township Fire Department for the rescue of a fellow worker. A member of the High School Rodeo Association, he qualified for the National High School Rodeo Team in 2002 and 2003.
The funeral was held March 8, 2008, at the Old Stone Church in Maple Hill. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
