Elmer Ray Harden, Emporia

Elmer Ray Harden, a resident of the Flint Hills Care Center died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Newman Regional Health. He was 83.
Mr. Harden was a machinist for Boeing before he retired.
The son of Clarence and Katie Couey Harden, he was born July 26, 1924, in Pope County, Ark. His wife, Rose Harden, died in 2002.
Mr. Harden was a member of the West Side Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Paula Endres-Skinner of Wichita; a stepson, Jerry Hudson of Wichita; and a sister, Marie Hefley of Fresno, Calif. A stepson, Jack Hudson; two brothers, James Harden and Kenneth Harden; and three sisters, Inez Young, Doris Harden and Clara Renfroe, died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Union Cemetery, east of Emporia. The Rev. Bill Bingham will conduct the service.
